$R_{e q} = 3 ∥ 6 + 2 = 2 + 2 = 4 Ω$

Current from Battery, $I = \frac{V}{R_{e q}} = \frac{10}{4} = 2.5 A$

$I_{1} = 2.5 \times \frac{3}{3 + 6} = \frac{5}{6} A$
