The correct answer is: 9

For a given wire, its resistance

The wire is stretched such that l2=3l1

But density is unchanged.

Density =MV=M4πr12l1=M4πr22l2

r22=l1r12l2=r123     ..(i)   l2=3l1

Now, R2l2r22

  R29l1r12           ....ii

From (i) and (ii)

  R2:R1=9:1
