a target cells' response is determined by the components of its signal transduction pathways 
 Hormone is a chemical messenger which starts a cascade of cellular reaction once it reaches the target site. The same hormone can have different effect on different target site due to the variation in the cell signaling system. Once the hormone binds to the target cell, it starts a cell signaling pathway which alters in different target cell giving us different response. Example is epinephrine
