Current in the circuit

=E+Er1+r2+R=2Er1+r2+R 

Potential difference across first cell = E-ir1

                                 =E-2E×r1r1+r2+R

Now, E-2Er1r1+r2+R=0

E=2Er1r1+r2+R2r1=r1+r2+R

R=r1-r2
