The correct answer is:
$\frac{1}{6}$
When two dice are rolled, the events where we get sum of 7 is $\mathrm{E}=\{(1,6),(2,5),(3,4),(4,3),(5,2),(6,1)\}$
$\therefore \mathrm{n}(\mathrm{E})=6$
Total number of events, $\mathrm{n}(\mathrm{S})=36$.
$\therefore$ Probability $=\frac{\mathrm{n}(\mathrm{E})}{\mathrm{n}(\mathrm{S})}=\frac{6}{36}=\frac{1}{6}$
$\therefore \mathrm{n}(\mathrm{E})=6$
Total number of events, $\mathrm{n}(\mathrm{S})=36$.
$\therefore$ Probability $=\frac{\mathrm{n}(\mathrm{E})}{\mathrm{n}(\mathrm{S})}=\frac{6}{36}=\frac{1}{6}$
