Beats per second when both the wires vibrate simultaneously
 
n1 ± n2 = 6
 
or    12lTm±12lT'm=6
 
or   12lT'm-12lTm=6
 
or   12lT'm-600=6 ...(i)

Given that fundamental frequency

12lTm=600
 
Dividing Eq.(i) by Eq. (ii), we get
 
12lT'm12lTm=606600
 
Or T'T=1.01
 
Or  T T = 1 . 0 2 %
 
Or T' =T (1.02)
 
Increase in tension

ΔT' = (T × 1.02)  T

       = 0.02T

Hence, ΔT' =  0.02
