The correct answer is:
$1.7 R$
For mixture of gases,
$C_V=\frac{n_1\left(C_V\right)_1+n_2\left(C_V\right)_2}{n_1+n_2}$
Here, $\left(C_V\right)_1=\frac{5}{2} R,\left(C_V\right)_2=\frac{3}{2} R$
$\therefore \quad C_V=\frac{2 \times \frac{5}{2} R+8 \times \frac{3}{2} R}{2+8}=\frac{17}{10} R=1.7 R$
$C_V=\frac{n_1\left(C_V\right)_1+n_2\left(C_V\right)_2}{n_1+n_2}$
Here, $\left(C_V\right)_1=\frac{5}{2} R,\left(C_V\right)_2=\frac{3}{2} R$
$\therefore \quad C_V=\frac{2 \times \frac{5}{2} R+8 \times \frac{3}{2} R}{2+8}=\frac{17}{10} R=1.7 R$
