The correct answer is: 24
lx=40 cm, lR=60 cm
xR=lxlR=4060=23 ....... (i)
     x+30 R=6040=32
    x+30R=32
   2x+30=3R
R= 2(x+30)3 ........ (ii)
From (i) and (ii),
3x2(x+30)=23
9x=4x+120
5x=120    x=24 Ω
