Veins and veinlets in lamina 
 Arrangements of veins and veinlets on leaf lamina is called as venation. When veins forms a network, the venation is called as reticulate, as in dicots. When veins lie parallel to each other than the venation is called parallel as in monocots. Veins provide rigidity to the leaf lamina and acts as channels of transport for water and minerals.
