The correct answer is: 20 N

The forces acting on the block are shown. Since the block is not

moving forward for the maximum force F applied, therefore

  Fcos60°=f=μN     …(i) (Horizontal Direction)

and   Fsin60°+mg=N     …(ii)

From (i) and (ii)

  Fcos60°=μ[ Fsin60°+mg ]

 F=μmgcos60°μsin60°=123×3×1012123×32=514=20N
