The correct answer is:
$\mathrm{w}=\mathrm{nRT} \ln \frac{\mathrm{V}_2}{\mathrm{~V}_1}$ (isothermal reversible expansion of an ideal gas)
$\mathrm{w}=\mathrm{nRT} \ln \frac{\mathrm{V}_2}{\mathrm{~V}_1}$ (isothermal reversible expansion of an ideal gas)
For isothermal reversible expansion.
$$
w=-n R T \ln \frac{V_2}{V_1}
$$
$$
w=-n R T \ln \frac{V_2}{V_1}
$$
