The correct answer is:


According to photoelectric equation
$$
E_{k}=h v-h v_{0}
$$
If the energy of photon $(h v)$ is less than the work function $\left(h v_{0}\right)$ of metallic surface, then electrons will never be ejected from surface regardless of intensity of incident light
Also, from Eq. (i), when
$$
v=v_{0}, E_{k}=0
$$
$\therefore$ Graph (d) represents variation of $E_{k}$ with $v$
$$
E_{k}=h v-h v_{0}
$$
