The correct answer is: Both $\left[\mathrm{SiF}_6\right]^{2-}$ and $\left[\mathrm{SiCl}_6\right]^{2-}$ ions are known.
$\left[\mathrm{SiF}_6\right]^{2-}$ is known to exist but due to large size of chlorine $(\mathrm{Cl})$ atom, $\left[\mathrm{SiCl}_6\right]^{2-}$ ions can not known.
