The correct answer is: It produces polluting gases
Iron pyritc i.c., $\mathrm{FeS}_2$, it is also known as
Fool's-Gold.
It is not an ideal choice of ore for extraction of iron, becausc it produces polluting sulphur containing gases, c.g. $\mathrm{SO}_2, \mathrm{SO}_3$ etc. though it is thermodynamically feasible, stable and can be uscd in roasting process.
Hence, option (a) is the correct answer.
