Molar mass of benzene =78 g/mol

Mole of benzene = Given massMolar mass=7.878=0.1 mol

C6H6 + CH3COCl/AlCl3C8H8O

By applying the mole-mole analysis, one mole of benzene gives the one mole of C8H8O. So, 0.1 mol of benzene gives the 0.1 mol of C8H8O

Molar mass of C8H8O120 g/mol

Mass of C8H8O formed = mole×molar mass=0.1×120=12g

Percentage yield =Experimental yieldTheoritical yield×100=8.412×100=70

So, the percentage yield of the product C8H8O is 70%.
