an inclined straight line pointing opposite to the direction of the moving train
As the apple is released, it has two accelerations,
pseudo acceleration due to acceleration to train and acceleration due to gravity.
Resultant of these accelerations are as
shown below.
Hence, trajectory of falling apple is an inclined straight line opposite to the direction of train.
