Logistic growth curve show sigmoid shape or S-shape curve. This growth curve is shown by the population which grows in a habitat with limited resources. The population growth shows a lag phase initially, followed by phases of increases and decrease and finally the population density reaches the carrying capacity where the population struggle to keep itself maintained, and ultimately, the population seems to be in balance or equilibrium with the limited resources.
