In a meter bridge the ratio of two resistances is

       RR=ll

Where l and l are balancing lengths.

Resistance R=ρlA=ρlπr2

In material remains same ρ=ρ

Given, l=2l

             r=r2

   R=ρlA=ρ2lπr22=8ρlπr2

      R=8R

Therefore, the new balancing point is expected to be 8l.
