For a compound microscope,

m=Lf01+Dfe

(Where the length of the tube L=30 cm, the focal length of the objective lens f0=1 cm, the focal length of the eye-piece fe=6 cm, D=25 cm)

m=3011+256=30×6+256

m=5×31

m=155
