Recombinant therapeutics include the medicines manufactured using recombinant proteins. These proteins are produced by the recombinant organisms which is possible due to recombinant DNA technology. At present, about thirty recombinant therapeutics have been approved for the use of human around the world. Presently, In India, twelve of these recombinant therapeutics are being marketed. Also, these therapeutics do not induce unwanted immunological response as observed in some non-human sources.
