The correct answer is: 79 eV
Required energy =I .E 1 +I .E 2
=24.6eV
after removal of 1 st e He + form ( H -like), hence Bohr's model applicable.
I .E 2 =I .E H × Z 2
=13.6×4=54.4eV
So total energy required =24.6+54.4=79eV
