The correct answer is: 21

Let A, B and C denote the set of men who received medals in even A, event B and event C respectively.

Then, nA=48, nB=25, nC=18 , nABC=60 and nABC=5,

Now we know that, nABC=nA+nB+nC-nAB-nAC-nBC+nABC

60=48+25+18-n(AB)-n(AC)-n(BC)+5

n(AB)+n(AC)+n(AC)=48+25+18+5-60=36

Therefore, the number of people who received medals in exactly two of the three sports will be 36-3ABC=36-15=21.
