Momentum of a photon is given by
$$
p=h / \lambda \text { (by de Broglie hypothesis) }
$$
Also the photon is a form of energy packet behave as a particle and having energy
$$
E=h c / \lambda
$$
From (i) and (ii), $p=\frac{E}{c}$ or, $\frac{h \mathrm{v}}{c}$.
