The correct answer is:
lateral axillary buds
The first discovered plant growth hormone is auxin that plays an important role in the growth and development of plants. The bud which is present on the apex of the stem and root is called apical bud that produces a hormone i.e. auxin that helps in the growth of the shoot tip and root tip but inhibits the growth of the lateral bud. But if the plant is cut then auxin concentration in the plants gets decreased that lead to the development of lateral axillary bud. So the correct answer is B.
