Baculovirues are group of pathogen that infect and kill many insects and arthropods. These viruses belong to the virus genus Nucleopolyhedrovirus. These have excellent insecticidal applications due to their narrow spectrum and been species-specific. They do not show ay negative impact on plants and other animal groups. It has been used as insecticide for cotton plantation.
