The correct answer is: 213

x2-2x+4=0

and α and β are roots of this equation so

α2=2α-4, β2=2β-4

Now α6=2α-43=8α3-48α2+96α-64

=8α2α-4-482α-4+96α-64

=162α-4-32α+128=64=26

Similarly β6=26

Hence α12+β12=212+212=213
