The correct answer is: Impulse will be same for both the cases but the average force will be different.

Impulse = Change in momentum

I=ΔP

Therefore, in both the cases the impulse is same.

Average force is defined as,

Favg =ΔPΔt

Since the time in the two cases is different, the average force will be different.
