The correct answer is: 20
Given: d=1.2 mm, λ=6000 =6×10-7 m, D=1 m, x=1 cm=1×10-2 m

For nth bright fringe, x=nλDd

1×10-2=n×6×10-7×11.2×10-3

n=1.2×10-56×10-7=0.2×102=20

There are 20 bright fringes formed over 1 cm width on the screen.
