The correct answer is: (4) $3500 \mathrm{~mL}$
(1) $1200 \mathrm{~mL}$
Inspiratory Capacity (IC) is the maximum amount of air that can be inspired after a normal expiration, IC = TV + IRV . It is $3600 \mathrm{~mL}$ in adult male and $2400 \mathrm{~mL}$ in adult female. Residual Volume (RV) is the amount of air remaining in the lungs after a forced exhalation. Its average value is $1200 \mathrm{~mL}$ and $1100 \mathrm{~mL}$ in adult male and female respectively.
