It helps in the digestion and emulsification of fats. It produces the digestive juice bile, which helps in digestion of fats and gives the characteristic color to stool and urine. Gastrin is not secreted by the liver. It is a gastrointestinal hormone secreted by the parietal cells of the stomach.
