Electronic waste or e- waste is the waste generated from gadgets and electronic equipments. Gadgets like computers, mobile phones, television sets which cannot be repaired and other electronic goods form the Electronic or E-waste. E-waste is disposed off by burying them in landfills or is incinerated. During the recycling of the e waste metals like copper, iron, silicon, nickel and gold are recovered. If this recycling is carried out manually it exposes the workers to the toxic substances which may be present in the e-waste. This may lead to poisoning and can even be fatal if the exposure to the toxic substance is very high.
