The common elements present in the anode mud are antimony, selenium, tellurium, silver, gold and platinum. These elements settle down under anode as anode mud because they are less reactive and are not effected by \(\mathrm{CuSO}_4-\mathrm{H}_2 \mathrm{SO}_4\) solution.
