I. Adeno – hypophysis A. Pars distalis (anterior pituitary) 1. Growth hormone (GH). 2. Prolactin (PRL). 3. Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH). 4. Adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH). 5. Luteinizing hormone (LH). 6. Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH).
B. Pars intermedia Melanocyte stimulating hormone (MSH).
II. Neurohypophysis (Pars nervosa or Posterior pituitary) 1. Oxytocin.  2. Vasopressin (or ADH). - These hormones are actually synthesised by the hypothalamus and are transported to neurohypophysis via hypothalamic neurons.
