The right side of the human heart contains deoxygenated blood and the left side of the human heart to contain oxygenated blood so in each cardiac cycle the right ventricle pumps out about 70 ml deoxygenated blood while the left ventricle pumps out 70 ml oxygenated blood to respective blood vessels. Cardiac output is calculated as the amount of blood pumped per minute.
