The correct answer is: a-archegoniophore, b-antheridiophore
A Gemma cup is found in the upper surface of the bryophyte. It is a cup shape in which gemma is produced. They are small discs of haploid tissue that give rise to a new gametophyte. They disperse when raindrops fall into the cup. These gemma cups are present along the midrib. On the ventral surface, rhizoids are present along the midrib. In the first diagram, there is an Archegoniophore present whose stalk is of 2-5cm and on top of it there is a terminal disc that is present which is 8 lobed. On the dorsal surface, archegonia are borne in acropetal succession. In the second diagram, there is antheridiophore that is present whose stalk is of 1-3 cm that bears 8 lobed peltate discs. In this antheridia arises acropetally on each lobe. So the correct answer will be D.
