An American ecological economist, Robert Constanza with his team worked out the monetary value on natural ecosystem services. His work research estimated that ecosystem services cost approx. US $\$$ 33 trillion per year. These services are largely considered free. Of the total cost for the services, nearly 6% each for climate regulation and habitat for wildlife. Together is 12%. Soil formation accounts for 50%.
