A property of an electron's rotational motion which is related to the shape of its orbital is the Orbital Angular Momentum

The orbital angular momentum is (L) =ll+1h2π

where, l=azimuthal quantum number

h=planck's constant

Orbital angular momentum for d electron is

=22+1h2π=6h2π=h2π

Hence, orbital angular momentum=6
