For following reaction, $2 \mathrm{NO}(\mathrm{g})+\mathrm{O}_{2}(\mathrm{~g})$ $\rightarrow 2 \mathrm{NO}_{2}(\mathrm{~g})$
When the volume of vessel is reduced to $\frac{1}{3}$ then concentration of reactant becomes three times.
The rate of reaction for first order reaction is proportional to the concentration. So rate of reaction will increase three times.
