Electrophiles: Those species which are attracted towards electronic pairs are called electrophiles, e.g.,
\(\mathrm{NO}_2^{+}, \stackrel{+}{\mathrm{CH}_3} \mathrm{Cl}^{+}, \mathrm{CH}_3{ }^{+} \mathrm{C}=\mathrm{O}\)
Nucleophile: Those species which unshared pair of electron are attracted towards positive charge are called Nucleophile.
e.g.
\(\mathrm{NO}_2^{+}, \stackrel{+}{\mathrm{CH}_3} \mathrm{Cl}^{+}, \mathrm{CH}_3{ }^{+} \mathrm{C}=\mathrm{O}\)
