(C) $\mathrm{TiI}_4$ upon heating will give pure Ti.
(D) Very pure Zr may be obtained by galvanisation.
(E) In copper smelting, hot air is used to convert to $\mathrm{CuSO}_4$.

The correct answer is: (b)
(B) Zone-refining is based on the principle that impurities are more soluble in the melt than in the solid state of the metal. In this process, a circular mobile heater is used which is fixed at one end of the rod. The rod is made up of the impure metal and convert into pure metallic rod through zone-refining process.
(C) $\mathrm{TiI}_4$ on heating will give pure $\mathrm{Ti}$ at above $1100^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$ temperature.
$\mathrm{TiI}_4 \xrightarrow{>1100^{\circ} \mathrm{C}} \mathrm{Ti}+2 \mathrm{I}_2$
Thus, option (2) is correct.
