32 bivalents
The complex formed by a pair of synapsed homologous chromosomes is called a bivalent or a tetrad. So if the total number of chromosomes is '2n', then the number of the bivalents will be half, i.e., 'n'. Hence, a plant cell having 64 chromosomes, will have 32 bivalents in the stage of Metaphase-I of Meiosis-I.
