Egg apparatus at micropylar end consists of one egg cell and two synergids. Synergid consists of finger like projections at micropylar ends called filli form apparatus, which secretes chemotropic substance to attract pollen tube towards embryo sac. It also absorbs nutrition from nucellus and supply it to embryo sac during its growth.
